Handling Bach is built around an imaginary encounter between Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Händel in 1747. Both of them born in 1685, Händel and Bach, the most significant composers of their time, meet for the first and only time in this “imaginary encounter” when Händel invites Bach to dinner. In reality, the two never actually met: Händel never responded to the letters sent to him by Bach.
